  We have made this hat for many years but somehow, we never put it on our website. I have no excuse. I love the hat, the movie, and of course, Steve McQueen.

  The hat band shown is a beaded band with leather ends and a small buckle set, and is my favorite. We also offer an elastic bead band that works well except with larger sizes, as the beads begin to separate too much when the band expands. We also have a tapestry band with horse hair tassels.

    The movie “Nevada Smith” was not shot in Nevada, it was filmed in Owens Valley California, mostly north of Lone Pine. This is a beautiful region showing the eastern side of the southern Sierras. There is a view of a wall of peaks, most of those peaks are over 13,000ft. ​
