Lonesome Dove, with Tommy Lee Jones as Capt. Woodrow F. Call and Robert Duvall as Gus McCrae, was an immediate classic.  This was probably the best "made for T.V. move" ever done.  For many years prior we have made the same style as worn by Robert Duvall.  It was one of the several variations on our Bullrider style, but ever since Lonesome Dove people have called it the Gus Crease.  That's OK with us.  Gus made it look good.  

     The 6X Gus is a stock Stetson, but is improved by Knudsen.  We hand form the crown and brim closer to the way Robert Duvall wore his in Lonesome Dove.
